We start with a quick get-to-know-each-other chat so everything feels easy – from what to wear to how to manage expectations and prep the kids and pets (sometimes partners) so everyone looks and feels their best on the day of your photoshoot!
02 Enjoy your SHOOT
Your session at The Newport Studio is relaxed, playful and completely guided. No awkward posing – just genuine connection and beautiful moments with the people and pets you love most.
03 SEE your story
Next you’ll return to the studio for your image reveal. This is when you’ll see your photographs for the first time and choose your favourites to turn into timeless artwork for your home.
Hi, I’m Daisy
I opened The Newport Studio in June 2023 because I believe that photographs of your loved ones belong on walls – not just on phones.
I created this space so families could slow down for a moment, capture the chaos and joy of family life and turn those memories into beautiful artwork for their homes.
Making sure mums are in the photos – and not always the ones behind the camera – is my why.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR? DO WE NEED TO BUY NEW CLOTHES?
Not at all! We’ll guide you on what works best so everyone feels comfortable and natural. Neutral, muted tones like beige, cream, light green, or faded rust work beautifully with our light-filled studio. Avoid logos, bold patterns and dressing everyone identically – the focus should be on you and your family, not your clothes.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Our pricing reflects the high-quality, heirloom-standard artwork your family will treasure for years. Some families spend $350 and some spend $3500, it honestly just depends on your wall space and how large you want to go!
Ultimately we want you to come back year after year – so there will be no pressure or hard sell. At The Newport Studio, we want you to walk away with artwork that will be treasured for generations.
DO YOU WORK WITH PETS?
Absolutely! Dogs, cats and any beloved family members are welcome. We love including them in your family story.
CAN WE GET DIGITAL IMAGES?
Yes of course! While we love to create timeless artwork for your home rather just digital files, we also know that digital images have their place and are great for sharing with family and friends or even as a screen saver. During your reveal session, you’ll select the images for your gallery, and additional digitals are available if you’d like, starting at $195.
WHAT IF MY KIDS WON’T BEHAVE?
No worries! We’re the experts at wrangling kids, pets and even dads. Sessions are relaxed and playful, so we capture authentic moments – chaos and all.
WHAT IF WE'RE NERVOUS IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA?
This is completely normal! We will guide the whole session, making it fun, natural and stress-free. Most families are surprised at how relaxed and enjoyable it feels.
